Megalodon Technician and Repair
Courses
The ISC technician is trained to completely build from the ground up the Megalodon CCR. The course entails the orientation to the ISO 9001:2008 quality management system, electrostatic discharge training, wire and connector preparation, breathing loop assembly, can assembly, electronic assembly, pneumatic system assembly, and oxygen cleaning and testing procedures for unit integrity. Individuals may attend the course but they will be scrutinized by their work to evaluate a level of performance that meets ISC standards of quality. This insures that the student will properly handle their Meg for repairs on their own system. ISC students may comeback to ISC for updates free of charge, and you are authorized to be sold sensitive components on the Meg for your own repairs. This course is perfect for customers that are independent or in remote locations away from conventional repair facilities. Course lasts 7 days and the course cost is $1, 800.00 USD
ISC Product repair technician Course: This course is for repair technicians that will be representing ISC in areas of the world requiring support from an ISC repair facility. The technician is trained to work on ISC products for ISC customers on the Meg and other ISC products. This individual has proven over time that their work is above reproach and trust worthy and they can competently repair a customerφs property. The Tech is required to attend updates at ISC at least once a year and work on ISC products during that time demonstrating proficiency. Meg Techs must have a pressure pot to test Meg CCR heads to a depth of 136 meters (450 fsw) and have an ISC approved repair bench protected from ESD. Meg tech class is 12 days and may be broken up of a period of time if desired. The course cost is $2, 500.00 USD.
The ISC tech can test other CCR heads for PO2 performance, set point operation/solenoid operation and test dive computers for deco to include timers, and depth gauges.
The ISC tech can clean for oxygen service but must have attended an ANDI international Oxygen cleaning course from either Ed Betts or Charlie Johnson. All Oxygen cleaning courses must be hands on and not a
discussion on the topic as this fails to address a proper handling procedure.
